At the back of the valley, at a lofty 1,890 metres above sea level and surrounded by Tyrol’s majestic three-thousand-metre peaks, you’ll find our lovely mountaineering village, Vent in Ötztal. This almost untouched place has managed to hold onto its original character – and we Vent locals are especially proud of that. Off the beaten track and away from built-up slopes, you’ll still experience genuine, unspoilt nature here in Vent in Ötztal: rugged rock faces, lush meadows, and dense forests as far as the eye can see. And at the heart of it all, you’ll find authentic Tyrolean mountain folk who carry nature in their hearts and wear their hearts on their sleeves. Vent in Ötztal has been making mountaineers and hiking fans fall in love for centuries. And that’s no surprise, as numerous three-thousand-metre peaks frame our mountaineering village. Among many others, you can reach Talleitspitze, Similaun, Wildes Mannle, and Wildspitze from Vent, making our village the perfect base camp for leisurely family walks, countless long-distance hikes, panoramic hut hikes, and challenging summit and glacier tours. It’s the boundless freedom of the mountains that turns Vent into a dream destination for passionate mountain sports fans. While summer sees you head out into the Ötztal mountains directly from our holiday apartments in Vent, in winter you can put on your skis in our car park and set off for exciting days on perfectly groomed pistes or untouched backcountry slopes.
Ötztal: adventures galore
Nothing but peace and nature – that’s something our guests especially appreciate about Vent in Ötztal. Skiing, ski touring, hiking: Vent delights peace seekers and adventurous spirits alike. For example, you can follow in Copper Age footsteps on a hike via Similaun hut (managed by us) to the discovery site of glacier mummy Ötzi, which takes around six hours. At “Hohler Stein” in Niedertal near Vent, you can marvel at the archaeological finds at a prehistoric hunting camp. And if you’d like a more vibrant, lively experience every now and then on your holiday in Vent, you can reach animated tourist destination Sölden and popular holiday village Gurgl in around 20 to 25 minutes.
